Here is a look at some familiar advertising that is very typical within the Midwestern Region of the United States.
Your Assignment: A Hometown Portfolio

You and your partner are expected to put together a presentation of 20 familiar businesses that advertise with signage within our community. You cannot use the the above 5 that I have already used. You will have to write a sentence or two about a unique characteristic regarding each and every sign that you document.
You will have to take your OWN PHOTOS of these signs. You cannot take photos off of the internet and pass them off as your own. Thus you will have to go out, and use a camera and take some photos.
Composition and clarity of your photos will be graded as well as your thoughts regarding the each of the samples that you choose.
You will then take these 20 photos and create a presentation using Google Docs. Remember to use a theme and the design rules and characteristics of an effective presentation that we covered last unit.
You will be have to give an oral presentation along with your partner of your work and why you choose these particular signs.
